Product Description

With the MMOBIEL Back Camera Replacement Kit, you will be able to fix your phone in no time! Everything you need is inside this DIY Back Camera Replacement Kit.

CAUTION: Before dissasembling your phone, discharge your battery below 25%! A charged lithium-ion battery can catch fire or explode if accidentally punctured.

BEFORE YOU START: Please create a backup of your iPhone.

Step 1

Power off your iPhone. Remove the two Pentalobe screws, located at the bottom of the iPhone, next to the lightning connector.
Step 2

Use a Heat Gun or Hair Dryer, to apply mild heat to the lower edge of the iPhone, for approx. one minute.
Step 3

Apply a suction cup to the lower left corner of the display assembly.
Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure, to create a slight gap between the front panel and rear case.
Place the flat edge of a spudger into the gap between the screen and rear case, directly above the headphone jack, and twist the spudger to widen the gap.
Slide the spudger up the side of the phone to separate the adhesive and free the clips.
Step 4

Use the suction cup to open the display, breaking the last of the adhesive. Open the iPhone like a book. The front panel is still connected to the back case on the left side of the phone.
CAUTION: Do not open the display further than 90º, as it is still connected at the top by three cables that may break if stretched too far.

Step 5

Remove Phillips screws securing the Battery Connector Bracket.
Step 6

Remove the bracket.
Step 7

Use the point of a spudger to disconnect the Battery Connector by prying it straight up from the logic board.
Step 8

Disconnect the Front Camera Flex Cable.
Disconnect the Digitizer Flex Cable.
Disconnect the Display Cable

Step 9

Remove the Phillips screws securing the bracket over the front panel sensor assembly connector.
Step 10

Remove the bracket.
Step 11

Disconnect the front panel sensor assembly connector from its socket on the logic board.
Step 12

Remove the front panel.

Step 13

Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the back camera connector from its socket on the logic board.
Step 14

Remove the following screws securing the back camera bracket to the rear case.
Step 15

Remove the bracket.
Step 16

Remove the back camera.
Congratulations! You have now successfully removed your Back Camera!
To reinstall the iPhone, use the previous steps in this manual and apply them backwards.
